PROSTRATE
CANCER
BY

Like
all Cancer's Prostrate Cancer can come as a shock when
it's diagnosed but with modern medicine techniques more
cases are being cured each year.
Prostrate cancer can happen to men of any age but mainly
appear when men reach 50 years or older. As with all
cancers they can spread so it's important to act fast.
Some of
the things a man should look out for is having the urge
to pass water more often and especially through the
night and also check for blood in the urine although in
a lot of cases this can be a simple urine infection.
I think
that in time all men over the age of fifty will be
checked yearly almost like women with breast cancer
which to me is a good idea.
A few
weeks ago I had a booklet come through door explaining
about a new method for treating Prostrate cancer at the
local hospital by the name of H.I.F.U. Which stands for
high intensity focused ultrasound.
This
treatment means that the patient has a local anaesthetic
in the way of an epidural which will numb the lower half
of the body and then a probe is inserted into the anus.
Normally this treatment will last for up to three hours
which in my mind is much better than any form of
traditional surgery.
There
is a great amount of information on the Internet about
prostrate cancer although with all cancers I think it
best to leave it to the specialist although many
alternative cures are available.
A
website well worth visiting which has a vast amount of
information on all forms of Cancer can be found here.
